Bevano ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your username and email address. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, on first sign-in, your email address from Apple.
When you use the app, we store the coffees you log, your ratings, tasting notes, brew methods, and whether you've chosen to share a review publicly.
We do not collect location data, contact lists, browsing history, or any data unrelated to your coffee activity.
How we use it
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Bevano service: to show you your personal coffee log, display community reviews, and operate the app. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond running Bevano.
Third-party services
Bevano uses Apple Sign In as an optional authentication method. If you use this feature, Apple's privacy policy governs the data shared with us.
We use Expo (a React Native platform) to deliver the app. Expo may collect anonymous crash and usage diagnostics per their privacy policy.
We use Sentry to monitor for errors and crashes so we can fix them quickly. When something breaks, Sentry receives the error message and stack trace, your user ID and username, your device model, operating system, and app version, and a short history of in-app actions (screens visited, buttons tapped, network call status codes) leading up to the error. We do not send your email, passwords, authentication tokens, IP address, or text you've typed into form fields. Those are filtered out before transmission. Sentry retains this data for 30 days. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. When you delete your account, all personal information (including your email, username, logs, and reviews) is permanently removed from our systems.
We retain only anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g. total number of account deletions) with no connection to your identity.
Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment information.
Children
Bevano is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
